How do I show or hide layers?

Toggle each Layer's visibility with its eye icon in the Layers sidebar — closed eye = hidden, open eye = visible. To toggle every Layer at once, use Show All or Hide All from the 3-dot menu.

📝 NOTE: Show/Hide All Layers is an Industry Pro feature.

Start by tapping the Layers icon on the Top Toolbar:

✅ TIP: If the Layers icon isn't showing in the Top Toolbar, touch or click the plus sign on the right side to show additional icons. To pin it permanently, see Customizing the Top Toolbar.

You'll see every Layer in the document. Layers with a closed-eye icon are hidden; Layers with an open-eye icon are visible:

Tap a Layer with the closed-eye icon to make it visible, and a Layer with the open-eye icon to hide it.

To show or hide all Layers at once, tap the 3-dot menu at the top right of the Layers sidebar:

Active vs. background Layers

The Layer with the pencil icon is the active Layer — it's the only one whose annotations can be edited. Annotations on the active Layer appear fully colored; annotations on background (visible-but-not-active) Layers appear faded:

To make a different Layer active, tap it in the sidebar, then tap the script page.

✅ TIP: For details on adjusting how faded the background Layers appear, see How do I change the opacity of background layers?
