How do I add page counts to my script?
Scriptation can automatically measure every scene in your script in eighths of a page and stamp the count onto the page for you — no manual counting required.
This is handled by the 8th Page Counts Info Layer, part of Scriptation's Info Layers feature.
Turning on page counts
- With your script open, tap Layers on the Top Toolbar;

- In the Layers side panel, find the Info Layers section and toggle on 8th Page Counts;

- Scriptation automatically generates the page count for every scene and adds it to either the top or bottom of each scene.
Customizing page counts
Open the Settings option at the bottom of the Layers side panel to customize:

- Location — Top of Scene (near the header) or Bottom of Scene;
- Color — Black, Red, or Blue.
Page counts in Tagging reports and integrations
The same page-count calculation Scriptation uses for the 8th Page Counts Info Layer also shows in your Tagging breakdown reports and partner integrations. Scene Page Counts are automatically included when you export to tools like Cinapse, Shamel Studio, Think Crew, or SetHero — no manual entry required.
