How do I assign a color to a layer?

Color-code your Layers in the Layers sidebar by tapping the color dot next to a Layer name and choosing from the color swatches. The color even carries through to a new draft after Note Transfer.

Tap Layers on the Top Toolbar:

✅ TIP: If the Layers icon isn't showing in the Top Toolbar, touch or click the plus sign on the right side to show additional icons. To pin it permanently, see Customizing the Top Toolbar.

Tap the color dot to the left of the name of the Layer you want to colorize:

The Color Selector opens. Tap the color you'd like to assign:

📝 NOTE: The preset color grid in the Color Selector is free for all users. Tapping into the custom color picker (spectrum / sliders / hex input) to pick any color outside the presets is an Industry Pro feature.

That's it — your Layer now shows that color in the Layers sidebar and the Layers switcher.
